Originally from Malta, Ben started his vocal training with Gillian Zammit and his dance training at the Alison White Studio. While in Malta, Ben took part in many productions including: Cabaret, Rock Nativity, The Sound of Music, Evita, Les Miserables in Concert. In 2003 he left Malta to train at the Margaret Howard Theatre College in Bushey where he was awarded a full scholarship.
After graduating in 2006 he gained a place at the Royal Academy of Music on the Musical Theatre course. At the Academy he was awarded the 2006 Cameron Mackintosh Scholarship and a Ross Baker Award.
Performance credits include backing Vocalist for Elton John in Concert for Diana (Wembley Stadium); Tobias in Sweeney Todd (Shawford Mill); Swing in The Thursford Christmas Spectacular (Norfolk); Ensemble in Chess in Concert (Royal Albert Hall) and backing vocalist for Elton John & Ray Cooper (Royal Albert Hall)
Television and film credits include student in Starter For Ten (2006, BBC Pictures) and Dorando Pietri in The First True Olympics (BBC Four). Recording credits include Chess in Concert (Warner Records) with Idina Menzel and Josh Groban. He has only recently ended an 18-month run as Boq in the German production of Wicked at the Metronom Theatre in Oberhausen. To view Ben's spotlight CV please click here
